Isabel is a Spanish produced historical fiction television series filmed in Spain, created by Jordi Frades and produced for the television channel Televisión Española. The series, is loosely based upon the reign of Queen Isabella I of Castile.[1]

The series has been produced by Diagonal Tv for TVE and has filmed in several Spanish cities Cáceres, Madrid or Segovia. The first season of 13 episodes will debut in January 2012. Several American and European channels are interested in buy Isabel's broadcast rights.

Synopsis

This series is a biography about the Queen of Castille, Isabella the Catholic. The first season is about his chilhood, her marriage with Ferdinand II of Aragon and his difficult arrival to the Crown.[2]
